About Nate...
There is nothing more awkward than writing about yourself. You never really know how to start, and every time you put pen to paper things always sound either too self-serving or comically humble. I'm not here to pretend to be an expert in the field of photography. On the contrary, I am always learning, trying to pick up new tricks (and gear) to add to my arsenal.
I currently work as a photographer in both private and commercial practice, shooting for iRun Magazine, The Wedding Planner Magazine GTA, The Kitchissippi Times, New Balance Ottawa and Sports 4 (Ottawa). I have a blast every time I pick up a camera, though I admit it was never something I had previously considered for work. I originally attended and graduated from the Corporate Security and Risk Management program at Algonquin College in hopes of saving the world from evil and being awesome...When that didn't really work out I found my calling and graduated from the Media and Communications program, also at Algonquin College, where the foundation for my love of photography was established. In addition to photography, I'm a big media junkie with a specialization in social media communications and a passion for client communications. Building relationships are an important part of not only my professional foundation, but my personal life as well.
Though I may not end up doing this photography thing for a living, I can honestly say it has been a fun ride and I'm ever thankful that, for even a moment, I was able to do what I loved as a form of work. I'm a big believer in loving what you do for your living. If you can get up in the morning and get paid for something you enjoy doing then you've got something truly special. Anyways, that's enough about me, thanks for visiting my page!
